Chinook's Kootenay Branch is based out of Genelle, British Columbia (half way between Trail and Castlegar). Proudly serving the industrial, commercial and residential customers since the branch was established in 2000. Chinook's Kootenay team of dedicated scaffolders, staff and supervisors are capable of running multi-million dollar shutdowns with hundreds of men to supplying or installing small scaffolds to clean your gutters. Regardless of the project size they treat each job with a commitment to safety, quality and a level of service unparalleled in the industry.
Chinook Kootenay/Trail Branch has some major industrial customers that we proudly continue to serve:
Jim Van Horn, a member of our Kootenay Branch Management team, had this to say about Chinook:
"Chinook is an innovative, safe and efficient company, our best asset being our excellent service. We have developed a core team with a wealth of experience that is continually growing. This core has taught others as we have grown and we can provide each customer experienced crews no matter the location."
The first series of pictures in our Kootenay/Trail branch projects album are all of the Afton Mine. This mine, which just recently began production again this past summer (ahead of schedule I might add), is in the midst of a several billion dollar expansion and is yet another iron in BC's mining fire.
Chinook's crew for the 2012 maintenance shutdown at Tembec completed the project with zero incidents logged. That is how we like it! Please click on this link to read the full letter.
Head office received yet another thank you letter from The Maverick hotel - we pride ourselves in professionalism, on and off the field.
Chinook's Kootenay division is a dynamic and involved branch of Chinook. Taking part in community sports, fund raisers and sponsoring other community events is something all Chinook branches pride themselves in.
"Outdoor Enthusiast" is a phrase used to describe almost every member of the Chinook family. Chinook enjoys being involved in conservation efforts as well as hunting and fishing organizations. Work and play! Here are some pictures of Fernie's Rod and Gun Club's Wildlife Banquet 2012 where we were a Gold Sponsor attendee. Our signature handy work can be seen in the center stage construction!
