Ten years ago Chinook Scaffold secured some coastal roots in Nanaimo on beautiful Vancouver Island. Passionate about what we do, we have become extremely diversified in many ways to satisfy our customers' needs. Being on the coast gives us an even wider range of clients; from ferry terminals, to airports and everything in between, not forgetting the residential customers. Chinook Nanaimo services from Port Hardy on Vancouver Island to the Sunshine Coast and the lower mainland around Vancouver.
Chinook Nanaimo provides scaffold sales and rentals on new and used material. We can erect and dismantle scaffolding in any location imaginable, and we also provide shrink wrap services for asbestos removal or painting projects. New to Chinook - the Mast Climber is a great addition to our fleet and we also provide and install this pertinent piece of equipment.
Mike Ferguson, a member of our Nanaimo Branch Management team, had this to say about what makes Chinook unique.
"Chinook sets the stage for integrity and prides itself on customer satisfaction. Chinook is the leader in the industry not only in the product line and service but safety and training as well. Chinook is extremely diversified and continually adapting to meet our customers' needs. Chinook is family oriented and committed to their employees and customers."
Mike Ferguson comments on one of their recent challenging projects:
"There are many special projects to choose from. However, one of our specialties is hanging scaffold below loading ramps above water. We have honed our skills to provide a product that can allow work to be done under the ramp as business as usual takes place above. This particular scenario happened to us during a project for the BC Ferries. Our scaffold had be functional all the while contending with the tides, the ramp itself moving (up to 12'), the ferry schedule and traffic. In many instances our hanging scaffold was submerged into the water during this project."
Chinook Scaffold is very proud and excited to be a part of this project for our Vancouver Island branch - Martin MARS - Coulson Flying Tankers hoarding!
Chinook's Nanaimo Branch has recently expanded its territory on Vancouver Island north to Campbell River. Heading up this satellite office is Chris Johnson who joined the team this year as our Campbell River Branch Representative/Project Manager. We look forward to future projects based out of this office.
This new year our Nanaimo branch has sponsored a unique event taking place on North Vancouver Island (Port Hardy). This event is a dinner for the Ladies of North Vancouver Island where the grand prize is a diamond ring and we have donated two other door prizes from our local jewelry designer/artist Amy Elizabeth. We hope everyone attending enjoys the "Diamond Dinner" at the Rainbow Lodge and our handmade prizes are a favorite!
Chinook's Nanaimo branch has also purchased a DJ package sponsorship for the local dance crew called the Foot Clan. Here is a pic of the group after their big win in Surrey last May - for more information on the Foot Clan please see their Facebook page.
